Hiya. Gunpou Star on the case. Nice to join up with the PokeRiders. Saw your ad on YouTube and thought 'why not'? Anyway, hope to pick up some new info and frineds on here. Later much.

BTW: 'Gunpou' means 'tactics' or 'strategy'.The star part means just that; I'm a star at what I do: I find holes in my friends own strategies and wipes their teams with my own.

Swords Dance/Dragon Dance

Sol Django (Charizard)

Serious (balanced)

Ok, on a feraligatr a good set usually includes Ice Punch and Dragon dance over swords dance as tbh feraligatr could really use the speed boost, along with waterfall and earthquake you've made a good and balanced (although maybe a tad predictable) choice, however if you're fairly new to competitive battling or need a bit of a stronger option gyarados may be a better choice
EV spread: 252 atk, 252 speed 6 HP

Charizard imo you really need either modest or timid to unlock its full potential. Lose fly for air slash, and possibly get rid of earthquake for Dragon pulse, ancient power......... I would possibly lose this for focus blast in order to deal with rock types which charizard is most weak to.
EV spread: 220 sp.atk, 252 speed, 32 def

Slowking even with timid is still mega slow, max speed of 174? its pretty pathetic, modest will suit you so much better by giving its sp.atks a bit more power, speed EV's will not really help it at all and are basically wasted on this, however its ability to take a hit more than makes up for this. you need to lose water pulse in favor of the stronger STAB surf, Ice beam in preference over flamethrower, and possibly grass knot over Shadow ball/ focus blast?
EV spread: 220 HP, 240 sp.atk, 48 def

Thanks a bunch. You brought up some really good points and gave me a lot of help with my Feraligatr problem (couldn't decide). But why get rid of Earthquake? It would really help against the more powerful electric types and rok types at the same time. But thanks for the advice on giving it Focus Blast. The main thing wih Charizard was trying to boost its defense. With Slowking, though, I've already got a lot of Modest Pokemon and it's getting kind of hackneyed now to have too many of them (Kingdra, Magmortar, Milotic, Ninetales, Rotom, Darkrai, Togekiss).

Anyway, thanks again for your advice and I'll really take it into consideration.

With this set, if you go for Jolly then choose Swords Dance..and if you go with Adamant go for Dragon Dance.

The strategy here is to come in on something Charizard scares, and use
Substitute as it switches out. Then Belly Drum on whatever they bring
in as they break your Substitute. Your Salac will activate, as Belly
Drum + Substitute brings you to 25% health. You now have +6 Attack,
Blaze activated, and +1 Speed, which should allow you to sweep.

i would say Body Slam

Return can be beautifully powerful with max happiness. But with Body Slam you get the chance of Paralysis, which is always a nice bonus. I personally prefer Return, but it's up to you (Body Slam would probably be better for Licky)

Hey new people (and McGill). @Silverleaf and Mitch, do you know what EV training is? At a guess i'm tihnking you don't, that's ok, we all had to start somewhere.

Basically it's a methhod of training your pokémon that means you can determine how strong each of their stats are going to be. This method is vital if you wish to stand a chance on Wi-Fi =)
